Paul Edward Smithers is an attorney specializing in personal injury, business law, employment law, and real estate law. Later, he joined Cooley in Palo Alto, further solidifying his expertise in employment and trade secret cases. In 1990, Mr.

Smithers founded Smithers Law Firm, focusing on commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on employment and trade secret disputes. His firm has since built a reputation for effective legal representation and client advocacy. Beyond his practice, Mr. Smithers actively contributes to the legal community as an arbitrator and judge pro tem for the Santa Clara County Superior Court. His commitment to legal education is evident through his role as an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University School of Law since 2005, where he teaches a course on trade secrets. Mr. Smithers is admitted to practice law in all California state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
