About Paul Edward Rice

Paul Edward Rice III studied economics and Spanish at the University of Florida, earning his Bachelor of Arts in 2015. He then moved to Miami for law school, completing his Juris Doctor at Florida International University College of Law in 2019. Those years on campus shaped how he approaches client problems. They also left him comfortable with technical analysis and communicating across language lines.

Rice began practicing law in Florida after law school. He entered the local legal market during a period of change and took on a variety of matters that required both careful research and plainspoken explanation. Early in his career he handled tasks common to small-firm practice: drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and counseling clients on procedural steps. He also spent time in client-facing roles that drew on his Spanish language skills.

Over time he moved toward a solo practice model. He opened Rice Law Office and established it as his professional base. The firm name appears on filings and communications across Florida. Rice’s work has been focused on serving individuals and small businesses, and he handles matters that arise under Florida law. He practices throughout the state and appears in state courts when needed.

Rice’s academic background in economics informs how he evaluates disputes. He tends to break complex problems into elements and to look at the numbers behind a claim. His training in Spanish is practical for clients who prefer to deal with an attorney in that language. He combines these elements in day-to-day case handling and in client counseling.

Colleagues describe Rice as methodical in courtroom preparation and direct in client conversations. He keeps records and schedules tight. He favors clear, written advice over legalese. That approach is visible in how his office communicates with opposing counsel and in client intake procedures.

He now practices from Rice Law Office, where his work centers on cases and transactions governed by Florida law.
