Paul Douglas Vanderwalde is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1993. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Vanderwalde is a founding partner and senior trial attorney at Caputo & Van Der Walde LLP, a personal injury law firm located in Campbell, California. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout Santa Clara County and the broader Northern California region.
Mr. Vanderwalde earned his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1993. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Arizona State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1989. During his time at Santa Clara University, he developed a strong foundation in legal principles, which he has applied throughout his career in personal injury law.
Mr. Vanderwalde concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury law, representing individuals who have sustained injuries due to accidents, including car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and wrongful death cases. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as a partner at Cornell & Van Der Walde Law and later founded Van Der Walde & Associates, which merged with Caputo & Van Der Walde in 2014.
Mr. Vanderwalde is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California, and the Santa Clara County Bar Association. He has served as the past president of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and has been recognized with honors such as "Who's Who in American Law" in 2000 and "Personal Injury Attorney of the Year" by the Consumer Business Review in 1999.
