About Paul
Paul Djurisic earned his law degree from DePaul College of Law in 1991 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1988. He trained in Chicago, where his academic background in economics and law shaped an approach to casework that pays attention to both detail and context. He has maintained a long-standing presence in the legal community since finishing law school.
He launched his own practice early in his career, opening the Law Office of Paul I. Djurisic as principal in 1992. Over the next two decades he moved between private practice and leadership roles in larger firms. In 2007 he served as Managing Lawyer of the Immigration Group at Azulay Seiden Law Group, and in 2011 he held the same title at Alcock & Associates. In 2013 he returned to a principal role under the name Paul Djurisic, Esq., overseeing his practice and continuing his courtroom work.
Djurisic is admitted to practice before multiple courts. His admissions include the State of Illinois, the United States Supreme Court, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits. Those credentials reflect years spent handling appeals and federal filings as part of immigration and related litigation. He has defended clients across administrative and judicial forums, and he has navigated both trial-level proceedings and appellate briefing.
Professional associations have been a steady part of his career. He joined the Serbian Bar Association of America in 1993 and served as its president from 2006 to 2007. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, belonging to that group since 1994. These memberships have kept him connected to peers and to developments in immigration law over a period of sustained practice.
His work history shows a consistent emphasis on immigration matters, from managing immigration groups at established firms to running his own office. He has handled petitions, deportation defense, and appellate work in federal courts. He continues to maintain an active practice as principal at Paul Djurisic, Esq., providing immigration representation and federal appellate services to individuals and families.
