Paul Castronovo is a seasoned trial attorney specializing in employment law, practicing in Bedminster, New Jersey. He has been a member of the New Jersey State Bar since 1999 and the New York State Bar since 2000. As a partner at Castronovo & McKinney, LLC, he focuses on representing employees in various legal matters, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases. The firm's office is located at 90 Washington Valley Road, Bedminster Township, NJ 07921. After earning his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 1999, Paul clerked for Judge Helen E.
Hoens, who later served on the New Jersey Supreme Court. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in litigation and trial procedures. He began his private practice career with two large defense firms, representing Fortune 500 companies, government entities, and closely held businesses. Over the years, Paul has secured over $21 million in jury verdicts and judgments for his clients, including a $6 million verdict in a race discrimination case in Bergen County and a $3.78 million jury verdict for a discrimination whistleblower in 2025. In addition to his trial successes, Paul has argued landmark whistleblower and sexual harassment cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court, such as Hitesman v. Bridgeway, Inc.
and Aguas v. State of New Jersey. His advocacy has been recognized by the New Jersey Appellate Division, which praised his written and oral arguments as "masterful." Earlier in his career, he was the first attorney in New Jersey to use state law to win a jury verdict against the mortgage industry for unconscionable business practices. Beyond his legal practice, Paul has been actively involved in his community. He has served on the Planning Board, the Upper Raritan Watershed Association, the Board of Health, and as a Little League coach. Paul graduated from Albright College in 1992 with a B.A. and has been recognized by his peers for his contributions to employment law. He has been selected for the New Jersey Super Lawyers® list each year since 2006 and was named one of the National Law Journal's 2020 "Trailblazers" in employment law. When not practicing law, Paul is a devoted Mets fan.
