About Patterson S. Weaver

Patterson S. Weaver III built a steady legal path through classrooms and courtrooms. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in political science at Pennsylvania State University in 2001, then earned a Master of Science in Education from Duquesne University in 2002. He returned to formal legal study and received his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2009.

He moved directly into public service after law school. In 2009 he served as a felony prosecutor in the 4th Judicial District Lawyer s Office. That early trial experience placed him regularly in front of judges and juries. It also exposed him to the practical pressures of fast-moving criminal dockets and complex case preparation.

Weaver transitioned to private practice a few years later. In 2011 he worked with the Gasper Law Group. A year after that he joined Peakstone Law Group, LLC. Records show he has been associated with Peakstone since 2012, where he has continued to practice. Over the course of his time in private practice he has taken on roles that required courtroom appearances, client counseling, and case management.

He is admitted to practice in Colorado and to the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. He holds memberships in the Colorado Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, listings that date from 2012 to the present. Those affiliations reflect an ongoing engagement with the local and national professional communities.

Collegiate studies in political science and a master's degree in education inform how he approaches legal problems. Those academic experiences have shaped his written advocacy and his courtroom presentation. His career trajectory, from prosecutor to private attorney, means he has seen a matter from both sides of the courtroom aisle. That perspective informs his courtroom strategy and his interactions with opposing counsel.

Clients and colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing cases. He has maintained a steady caseload over more than a decade in practice and has handled matters that required litigation experience in both state and federal venues. He continues to practice law through Peakstone Law Group, LLC.

His current practice focuses on litigation in Colorado state and federal courts.
