About Patrick Stephen
Patrick Stephen McArdle is a Florida trial lawyer whose career has moved steadily from associate to firm shareholder. He studied literature before turning to law. The path led him from Davidson College to Stetson University College of Law and into courtroom work soon after graduation.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Honors English from Davidson College in 2009. He then attended Stetson University College of Law and received his J.D. in 2012. Those academic years framed an interest in written advocacy and argument that he carried into practice.
McArdle began his legal career at Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen, P.A., joining the firm’s trial team in 2012. Over the next several years he advanced through litigation roles and became a partner at the firm in 2018. In 2019 he helped establish McArdle Law, P.A., where he is a shareholder. His résumé shows a steady progression from courtroom associate to law firm leadership.
His professional activities extend beyond casework. He has been active in local and state bar groups. He served as chair of the Sarasota County Bar Association Civil Trial Section in 2014–2015. He has held leadership posts in the Sarasota County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, serving as director from 2017 to 2019 and then as secretary beginning in 2019. He is a director in the Florida Justice Association’s Young Lawyers Section and holds memberships in the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Sarasota and Manatee county bar associations. He is also a member and officer of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court, where he has served as associate, then officer and barrister since 2015.
Those roles reflect a practice frequently engaged in civil litigation and trial matters. Early experience as a trial lawyer and subsequent leadership in civil trial sections suggest regular courtroom work and involvement in case strategy, witness preparation and motion practice. Colleagues and bar activities indicate an emphasis on trial skills and trial procedure rather than transactional work.
Today he works from McArdle Law, P.A., handling litigation matters for clients in Florida. His practice focuses on civil litigation and trial representation in state courts.
