About Patrick J.
Patrick J. Gunn built his legal foundation at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where he earned his Juris Doctor. He also holds an MBA from Long Island University’s C.W. Post Campus, a combination that shaped both his legal reasoning and business perspective. Those two degrees sit at the start of a career anchored in New York practice.
After law school, Gunn entered private practice and became an active participant in the Suffolk County legal community. He is admitted to practice in New York and has been a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association since 2014. His involvement in local legal groups has been steady. He joined the Brehon Society of Suffolk County in 2005 and later served as its president. More recently, he added membership in the New York State Magistrates Association in 2022.
His time in community legal organizations has informed his day-to-day work. Colleagues and peers see him at meetings and local events where legal and civic matters intersect. Serving as past president of a county society gave him experience in governance and event programming for lawyers across the county. That role also involved organizing panels and coordinating membership activities over several years.
Gunn’s MBA background often shows in how he approaches client matters. He tends to weigh legal options against practical business outcomes. That pragmatic bent can be useful in negotiations and in counseling clients who are balancing legal risks with operational decisions. He brings both legal training and business analysis to client conversations.
He operates from THE LAW OFFICE OF PATRICK J. GUNN PLLC. The firm handles cases and client matters that arise under New York law. His practice reflects long-standing ties to Suffolk County and the surrounding legal community. He remains active in bar associations and associative groups that shape the county’s legal landscape.
Outside the office, Gunn’s association work continues to occupy much of his professional calendar. Memberships in the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York State Magistrates Association keep him connected to developments in procedure and local courts. The Brehon Society affiliation reaches back more than a decade and a half and includes a period as its president.
He currently practices at THE LAW OFFICE OF PATRICK J. GUNN PLLC, handling legal matters in New York.
