About Patrick J

Patrick J Conway earned his law degree from Michigan State University in 1976 after completing a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Michigan in 1970. Those academic years placed him at two of the region’s larger public universities during a period of change in legal education. He left law school prepared to move into both public service and private practice.

His early career included a stint in county government. In 1985 he became Section Chief at the Hamilton County Department of Jobs and Family Services. That role put him inside an administrative setting, overseeing work tied to public benefits and agency processes. It also gave him direct experience with systems that intersected with family and consumer issues.

Conway moved back into private practice at the end of the century. In 1999 he served as a managing lawyer at Macey & Aleman. The position involved overseeing casework and mentoring more junior attorneys. He returned to firm practice in 2006 as an attorney with Mark E. Godbey & Associates, where he continued to handle matters for individual clients.

In 2008 he launched his own firm, Patrick J. Conway LLC. Running a solo practice brought different responsibilities. He handled client intake, case management and the business side of a law office. That work followed decades spent alternating between public sector roles and traditional firm work, and it reflected a steady career path rather than sudden shifts.

Outside of casework he has been active in professional and community groups. Since 2006 he has maintained membership as an attorney in the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers, an organization that brings together lawyers who represent debtors. In 2010 he became associated with the Better Business Bureau, an affiliation that has continued. Those memberships suggest ongoing engagement with consumer-facing legal issues and local business standards.

Conway is admitted to practice in Ohio and Kentucky. His background includes public agency administration and long experience in consumer-oriented legal practice. Today he operates Patrick J. Conway LLC and handles consumer bankruptcy and related matters for individuals in his jurisdictions. His current practice focuses on consumer bankruptcy and related consumer matters.
