About Patrick
Patrick Gill built the foundations of his legal career in classrooms and courtrooms in Illinois. He earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2013 after completing a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. Those years shaped his approach to legal analysis and courtroom procedure.
Early practical experience came while he was still in law school. In 2012 he served as a judicial extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division, working for Judge Lee Preston. That placement exposed him to chancery practice and the mechanics of judicial decision-making. In 2011 he worked as a research assistant to Distinguished Professor Joan Steinman, helping with doctrinal research and academic writing. The same year he interned at the City of Chicago Department of Buildings, gaining exposure to municipal processes and regulatory review.
After law school he moved into private practice. He joined Staver Accident Injury Lawyers, P.C., where he has worked as a lawyer. His role there has involved representing people hurt in accidents and handling matters that arise from collisions and other injury events. The environment at the firm has kept him in regular contact with injured clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel. He has experience preparing claims, negotiating with insurers, and taking cases into litigation when necessary.
Gill maintains ties to the professional community in Chicago and across Illinois. He holds membership in the Chicago Bar Association and has been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association since 2013. Those affiliations keep him informed about practice developments and local court practices. Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in case preparation, preferring clear analysis over rhetoric.
Outside the office he has drawn on his undergraduate training in political science and philosophy to approach disputes from multiple angles. He balances factual investigation with attention to legal rules. That combination shows in how he evaluates evidence and prepares witnesses.
He currently practices at Staver Accident Injury Lawyers, P.C., handling accident and injury matters.
