About Patrick Dylan
Patrick Dylan Witherington earned a B.S. from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 1999 and completed his J.D. at the University of Tennessee in 2002. Those years framed his entry into the profession. They also placed him at the start of a legal career centered in Tennessee but reaching into federal court work as well.
He began practicing law after graduation and established himself within Tennessee’s legal community. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee and is admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. That combination of state and federal credentials has informed the kinds of matters he takes on and the forums in which he operates.
Throughout his career he has handled matters that require both trial-level management and appellate attention. Admission to the Sixth Circuit suggests experience with federal appeals and related procedural work. He has handled filings, brief-writing and oral argument preparations that arise when cases move beyond the trial court. At the same time, his Tennessee admission keeps him involved in local practice and the substantive state-law questions that often govern client disputes.
He practices from Witherington Law, PLLC. At the firm he manages client intake, case strategy and court submissions. The office serves individuals and entities who need representation in state courts and in federal appellate proceedings. His practice involves coordinating with co-counsel, preparing pleadings and navigating the procedural requirements of both trial and appellate dockets.
Colleagues describe him as careful with court work and precise in legal filings. He tends to prioritize clarity in briefs and methodical preparation for hearings. That approach aligns with the dual nature of his admissions: attention to state-court details and awareness of federal appellate standards.
Outside specific case work, he maintains connections to the legal community in Tennessee and to the broader practice environment that federal appellate admission brings. He continues to accept matters through Witherington Law, PLLC, handling cases that require representation in Tennessee courts and before the Sixth Circuit.
