About Patrick David

Patrick David Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Florida in 2011 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2013. He finished law school at a time when Florida’s trial calendar was active and stepped into public defense work soon after. Those formative years shaped his approach to courtroom practice and client advocacy.

He began his legal career in 2014 as an assistant public defender at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. In that role he handled a steady flow of criminal matters, moving cases through pretrial stages, negotiating pleas when appropriate, and taking matters to trial when necessary. The day-to-day work at the public defender’s office exposed him to a broad cross-section of criminal law and the practical demands of representing people facing charges in Florida’s state courts.

Wilson maintains professional ties to the criminal defense community. He has been a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2014 and holds admission to practice in Florida and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Those memberships keep him connected to developments in trial practice, evidentiary law, and procedural rules that affect criminal cases across the state.

Today he works at Dabdoub Law Office. He continues to apply the trial skills and courtroom experience he developed in Miami-Dade to cases brought in Florida courts. He approaches each matter by assessing the facts, evaluating legal options, and preparing the necessary motions and defenses. Colleagues describe him as practical in the courtroom and thorough in preparation.

Outside of court dockets he stays engaged with professional networks that focus on criminal defense issues and ongoing legal education. He also keeps current on changes to state rules and case law that affect criminal proceedings. His practice centers on representing individuals charged with criminal offenses in Florida and managing those matters through plea, trial, or other resolution paths. His current practice focuses on criminal defense in Florida courts.
