About Patrick
Patrick Brady graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2016. He completed his J.D. that year and entered practice shortly afterward. The law school years provided classroom training and courtroom clinics that shaped his early approach to litigation.
Soon after earning his degree, Brady took on multiple roles in 2017. He assumed the title of Managing Partner at Brady Cole Trial Lawyers the same year. He also worked as a prosecuting lawyer at Lake County States Lawyer in 2017. Those positions placed him on both sides of the courtroom. He handled case preparation, motion practice and hearings while gaining experience in trial settings.
Brady’s background combines prosecutorial work and private trial practice. His prosecuting work involved typical trial tasks: drafting charging documents, preparing witnesses and arguing before judges. In private practice he has managed civil and criminal dockets and overseen litigation strategy for the firm. The dual experience informs his courtroom posture and his handling of discovery and trial logistics.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as direct and procedural. He tends to favor clear, evidence-driven presentations. He has worked on matters that required detailed fact development and cross-examination, and he has overseen teams managing complex filings. His practice emphasizes the mechanics of litigation: case theory, witness preparation, and courtroom procedure rather than broad legal theory.
Brady maintains memberships in local professional groups. He is a current member of the Lake County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Explorer Program Lake County. Those affiliations connect him to local practitioners and community programs and provide access to continuing legal education and local court developments.
Licensed to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin, Brady remains active at his firm and in county legal circles. He continues to take cases that proceed to trial and handles both pretrial work and courtroom litigation. He currently concentrates on trial work at Brady Cole Trial Lawyers, practicing in Illinois and Wisconsin.
