About Patrice
Patrice Hensley earned her law degree from Santa Barbara & Ventura Colleges of Law in 2016 after completing two associate degrees at Santa Barbara City College. She combined classroom study with hands-on experience early on. While in school she worked as a legal intern and mediation assistant in Santa Barbara, roles that exposed her to client interviews, case intake and the mechanics of alternative dispute resolution.
Her early legal work began in support roles. In 2014 she served as a Legal Intern at the Santa Barbara Legal Aid Foundation and as a Mediation Assistant at Creative Dispute Resolution. The following year she worked as a Legal Assistant at the Law Offices of Joseph Graham. Those positions gave her direct contact with court clerks, the drafting of filings and the logistics of case preparation before she entered practice as an attorney.
After receiving her J.D., Hensley joined Michael & Associates in 2016 where she handled contested legal assistant and paralegal duties. She then moved to Lieber & Galperin in 2019 and continued to expand her courtroom and case-management experience. Her trajectory shows steady movement from support functions into practicing law, and an increasing role in matters that require litigation preparation and client representation.
In 2021 she took the next step in her career as a lawyer at Galperin & Hensley LLP. Her work there reflects the cumulative experience she developed over the previous years. Colleagues and clients have seen her apply procedural knowledge gained in a variety of settings, from legal aid to private practice. She holds a California law license and practices in the state’s courts.
Hensley is a member of several local bar associations. She currently belongs to the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Santa Barbara Bar Association and the Ventura Bar Association. Those memberships keep her connected to local judges, court staff and fellow practitioners across different parts of the state.
She maintains an active practice at Galperin & Hensley LLP. Her current work concentrates on litigation and dispute resolution in California courts and administrative settings.
