About Patrice

Patrice Brymner graduated from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 1993. She earned her J.D. before entering practice and built a career that crosses state lines. Her legal training in San Francisco provided the foundation for work in both California and Massachusetts.

Brymner gained admission to the State Bar of California in 1996. She later established licensure in Massachusetts as well. Early in her career she moved between courtroom work and alternative dispute resolution, refining a practice that now emphasizes negotiated outcomes and collaborative processes. Her path reflects steady involvement in local bar and professional organizations alongside private practice.

She has been active in the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council since 2012. In that organization she served as Vice President of Education and Training and was elected President Elect in 2022. Those roles placed her in charge of developing programs for attorneys and neutrals, overseeing continuing education offerings, and shaping curriculum around collaborative practice. In 2021 she joined the Academy of Professional Family Mediators. She remains a member of the State Bar of California, where she has held membership since 1996.

Over time Brymner shifted much of her day-to-day work to family law, mediation and collaborative law matters. She handles cases that involve divorce, child custody, parenting plans and asset division, often steering parties toward negotiated settlements rather than protracted litigation. Her practice draws on skills in facilitation, settlement planning and managing complex family dynamics. Colleagues describe her as steady in negotiation and attentive to procedural detail.

She opened the Law Office of Patrice Brymner to concentrate on private client work and neutral services. The office serves clients in both collaborative and mediated processes and accepts cases that require contested representation when parties cannot agree. Brymner also contributes to professional training through the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and other local programs, helping newer practitioners understand collaborative protocols and mediation techniques.

Brymner continues to practice from the Law Office of Patrice Brymner, handling family law matters through collaborative practice, mediation and related dispute resolution methods.
