About Paige E.

Paige E. Melendez graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2020 after earning a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 2015. Law school came after a four-year undergraduate course of study in College Station. Her academic record put her on a conventional path into public-interest and employment law work during her time as a student.

While in law school Melendez took roles that gave her hands-on experience with workplace disputes. In 2019 she served as a legal intern at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. That same year she acted as a student lawyer at the Transnational Workers Rights Clinic housed at the Equal Justice Center, representing clients and handling intake and casework under supervision. Those placements exposed her to administrative processes and direct client advocacy early in her career.

After completing her J.D., Melendez has continued to work in employment-oriented settings. She joined Wiley Wheeler, P.C. in 2023. Her professional memberships include the State Bar of Texas, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Texas Employment Lawyers Association, and the Dallas Bar Association. Those affiliations reflect ongoing engagement with the community of lawyers who represent employees and litigate workplace matters.

Melendez is licensed to practice in Texas. Her background at the EEOC and at a transnational workers clinic informs her approach to cases that involve discrimination, wage-and-hour questions, and other employment issues. She has handled administrative filings and has experience preparing matters for litigation, including client interviews, evidence gathering and pleadings. Colleagues describe her work as anchored in case preparation and procedural familiarity rather than in trial publicity.

Melendez practices in Dallas-area legal circles and participates in local bar activities through her Dallas Bar Association membership. Her trajectory from clinic and federal agency work to private practice follows a common route for lawyers who continue to represent workers in employment disputes. She is currently at Wiley Wheeler, P.C., where she concentrates on employment law matters and representation of employees in workplace disputes.
