About Otis

Otis Landerholm practices immigration law in California. He built his legal foundation through study and early professional involvement and has led a small practice for more than a decade. Colleagues and clients know him as steady and methodical. His work is centered on casework that moves through administrative and court processes.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and linguistics from Washington State University. He then attended Golden Gate University School of Law, where he received his J.D. The combination of humanities and law shaped his approach to complex legal questions. He tends to frame cases in precise terms and prepares thorough written submissions.

Landerholm opened Landerholm Immigration, A.P.C. in 2011. The firm has handled a range of immigration matters on behalf of individuals and families. Over the years he has guided clients through agency proceedings and litigation when necessary. Running his own practice required shifting from casework to management, a transition he undertook early in the firm’s history.

He became a member of the State Bar of California in 2010. He also has held membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2010. Between 2011 and 2015 he belonged to the Bar Association of San Francisco. For a period he served on the board of the National Lawyers Guild from 2011 to 2012. Those memberships reflect steady engagement with professional organizations and peer networks.

The State Bar of California has certified him as a Legal Specialist in Immigration. That formal recognition marks a credential specific to the practice area. He has combined that designation with practical courtroom and agency experience while handling client matters.

Landerholm’s day-to-day work involves client interviews, case strategy, filings and court appearances when cases progress beyond the agency level. He balances case preparation with the administrative responsibilities of running a small firm. The office under his name has served clients across California and has remained in operation since its founding.

He continues to practice immigration law at Landerholm Immigration, A.P.C., representing clients in matters before immigration agencies and courts and managing the ongoing work of the firm.
