About Omer
Omer Jaleel earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall Law School in 2007. He entered the legal profession after law school and moved quickly into courtroom work. The law degree anchored an early career spent inside Illinois courts and legal offices.
Fresh from law school, he began work in the public sector in 2007 at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. There he served as an assistant prosecutor, gaining first‑hand experience in trial preparation, courtroom procedure and the pace of public practice. That formative year in a large prosecutorial office shaped how he approaches fact development and case strategy.
In 2012 he founded Jaleel Law P.C. He established the firm to provide private legal services in the Chicago area. As the founding lawyer he handles client matters, oversees casework and manages the practice. The decision to open a firm followed several years of public service and a desire to apply that experience in a different setting.
Over the years his practice has combined litigation experience from the courthouse and the demands of running a small law office. He is familiar with the mechanics of courtroom advocacy and the administrative side of client representation. That combination is reflected in how his office approaches casework: practical, direct and oriented toward clear outcomes.
He maintains membership in professional associations and remains engaged in the local legal community. That involvement keeps him connected to changes in law and procedure. It also provides regular contact with outside counsel and court personnel, which informs day‑to‑day practice in Illinois courts.
Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He emphasizes preparation and attention to factual detail. In client meetings he tends to prioritize clarity over legal jargon, explaining options and likely timelines in straightforward terms.
Clients come to his office for representation in matters that require courtroom experience and hands‑on attention. He operates his practice out of Jaleel Law P.C., serving clients in Illinois. His current practice concentrates on client representation and litigation in Illinois courts.
