About Nonie
Nonie Ferguson built her legal foundation in South Florida before moving west to practice. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University in 2009, where she was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society, and competed as part of FAU’s National Model United Nations team. She went on to receive her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 2012.
Ferguson was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2012 and to the Utah State Bar in 2016. Early in her career she established ties to several bar sections and local associations. Since 2016 she has held membership in the Utah State Bar, and since 2017 she has been active in the Utah State Bar’s Litigation, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution sections. She also joined local groups such as the Park City Bar Association and the Salt Lake County Bar Association, and she is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Her involvement extends beyond traditional bar work. Ferguson belongs to organizations that promote collaborative practice, including the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Professionals of Utah, and the Collaborative Law Association. She also participates in Business Networking International’s Business Elevated Park City Chapter, a professional networking group she joined in 2017. Those memberships reflect an engagement with mediation and cooperative approaches to dispute resolution as well as courtroom advocacy.
Ferguson’s career blends courtroom work and alternative dispute resolution. She has maintained ties to litigation through the Utah State Bar Litigation Section while also pursuing collaborative and family-focused practice through multiple specialty groups. Her connections to criminal law and ADR sections indicate a practice that can range from contested hearings to negotiated settlements and mediated agreements.
She practices from an office under the name Just Law. Colleagues describe her as methodical and rooted in procedure; clients have found that her background in model United Nations and political science informed an early interest in negotiation and structured problem solving. Her dual admissions to Florida and Utah bars allow her to draw on experience gained in different legal communities.
Nonie Ferguson currently practices family law and collaborative law, and she handles matters in criminal and civil litigation while participating in alternative dispute resolution work.
