About Nitza
Nitza Blasini entered the legal world after completing a J.D. at Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1982. She earned a B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1972. Those degrees launched a career that spans prosecution, ethics work and private practice.
She began in public service. Early roles included work in legal services in Atlantic County in 1984 and later several positions as an assistant prosecutor. Over the years she served as an assistant prosecutor in Atlantic County, Camden County and Cumberland County. In Cumberland County she rose to become chief of the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. She also spent time as an assistant prosecutor in Camden County, where trial work and case preparation formed the backbone of her courtroom experience.
Her career moved into ethics and oversight as well. She served as Deputy Ethics Counsel at the Office of Lawyer Ethics. That role placed her at the intersection of professional responsibility and enforcement. It also gave her a detailed view of how regulatory and disciplinary systems operate in New Jersey.
In private practice she joined Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, PA as Of Counsel. That position followed a long record in public prosecution and administrative legal work. As Of Counsel she provides counsel informed by years inside county prosecutor offices and an ethics agency. She continues to draw on that background when advising on investigations and case strategy.
Her professional affiliations reflect a sustained engagement with the bench and bar. She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Atlantic County Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association. She also holds membership in the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association. Those memberships keep her connected to peers across both counties and practice areas.
She maintains a presence across multiple New Jersey locations, including offices in Vineland, Bridgeton, Freehold, Hackensack, Somers Point, Turnersville, Willingboro and Woodstown. Her practice operates in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, consistent with her admitted jurisdictions. Colleagues note her long tenure in public service and the continuity it brings to her current work.
Her experience includes criminal prosecutions, work on sexual assault and child abuse matters, and lawyer ethics; her current practice addresses these types of matters across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
