About Nikki
Nikki Hashemi is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in November 2005. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Hashemi is the principal attorney at Acorn Law P.C., a law firm located in Westlake Village, California. She has been practicing law for over 20 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Ms. Hashemi earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 2004. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of British Columbia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and an Honors Degree in Germanic Studies in 2001. During her time at Loyola Law School, she was invited to join the Moot Court.
Ms. Hashemi concentrates her practice in the areas of bankruptcy law, estate planning, trust administration, and probate law. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings, debt relief, and the establishment of trusts, wills, and powers of attorney. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hashemi has handled cases in the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California, as well as in various state courts within California. She has also appeared before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Prior to founding Acorn Law P.C., she worked as the principal attorney at Interplay Legal Solutions, Inc. from January 2022 to the present, and as the owner and CEO of Hashemi Law Corporation from April 2009 to April 2018.
Ms. Hashemi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Women Lawyers of Ventura County Bar Association, the Central District of California Bankruptcy Attorneys Association, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. She has also been involved in community service, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern California Medical Center and as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Ivy Bound Academy Charter Middle School. Ms. Hashemi is fluent in English and Persian, allowing her to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
