About Nicole W
Nicole W Moss built a career that moves between public service and private practice. She trained in courtroom work early on and has remained in courtroom roles ever since. Her path shows steady movement from prosecutor’s office to running her own practice.
She earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1998). She completed a post-baccalaureate program at Columbia University in 2000. She then attended the University of New Mexico School of Law and received her J.D. in 2005.
After law school she joined the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district lawyer in 2005. That work gave her regular trial exposure and an understanding of how criminal cases are prepared and prosecuted. She left the public sector after several years to enter private practice.
In 2011 she worked as an associate at Kennedy & Han P.C., gaining experience on the defense side. The following year she became an owner at Foster & Moss P.C., and in 2014 she established the Law Office of Nicole W Moss LLC. Those moves reflect a shift into law firm management alongside litigation work.
Her admitted jurisdictions include the State of New Mexico and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. She holds memberships in several professional organizations: the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association since 2012, and since 2013 she has belonged to the New Mexico Women’s Bar Association, the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association. She also maintains other long-standing professional memberships dating back to 2005.
Her practice has continued to concentrate on litigation. She represents clients in criminal matters and handles civil litigation arising from those disputes. She runs a small firm where she manages casework and client relations directly. Her current practice focuses on criminal defense and related civil litigation matters.
