About Nicole

Nicole Vette earned her law degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2012 after completing a bachelor’s degree in business at Kennesaw State University in 2008. The shift from business studies to law shaped an approach that balances procedural detail with practical client concerns. She is admitted to practice in Colorado and Florida and holds certification from the Florida Supreme Court as a family law mediator.

Her legal career began the same year she graduated. In 2012 she joined Anderson & Baker as an associate. Those early years provided courtroom experience and exposure to family law practice. In 2018 she moved to BLG Law Group, expanding her caseload and working on a broader mix of family law matters. Two years later she accepted a position at Critton, Luttier & Coleman, where she continued to handle contested and uncontested family law proceedings and took on more complex custody and support issues.

In 2021 Vette started her own firm, Vette Law, PLLC. Moving into private practice allowed her to shape client services and to build a practice that includes mediation as a key component. Her Florida Supreme Court certification as a family law mediator is part of that offering. The credential permits her to serve in alternative dispute resolution roles alongside traditional litigation work.

Vette has held memberships in several professional organizations. She joined the South County Bar Association in 2018 and remains a member. She also belongs to the Susan Greenberg Inns of Court, a group she joined in 2016. Earlier in her career she was active in the SW Colorado Bar Association from 2013 to 2016. Those affiliations reflect years spent practicing in multiple jurisdictions and participating in the local legal community.

Her practice history traces a steady move from associate roles to firm ownership. The pattern shows repeated returns to family law matters and an interest in resolving disputes outside the courtroom when possible. As an attorney she has balanced courtroom representation with mediation services, offering both advocacy and neutral dispute resolution depending on what a case requires.

Vette operates Vette Law, PLLC and manages the firm’s caseload. She divides her time between representing clients in family law proceedings and serving as a certified family law mediator under the auspices of the Florida Supreme Court. She currently practices family law and serves as a family law mediator.
