Nicole Rose Hewitt is a co-founding member of HWK Law Group, a firm dedicated to estate planning, elder law, special needs planning, business planning, and real estate transactions. With over 26 years of legal experience, Nicole developed her focus on the tax implications of these areas. She provides comprehensive legal services to clients, including individuals, business owners, young families, retirees, and the elderly. By assisting clients in achieving their estate, tax, and medical assistance planning goals, Nicole plays a crucial role in their financial and personal well-being. Additionally, she specializes in working with families who have special needs, guiding them through the details of trusts and adult guardianships. Before co-founding HWK Law Group in 2020, Nicole built a robust career in both law and accounting. She served as a senior tax associate with two of the Big 5 accounting firms, where she developed a understanding of tax law and its applications.
Following her tenure in accounting, she worked as an associate at a prominent law firm in Baltimore, Maryland. Nicole also took on significant leadership roles, including serving as General Counsel and Executive Director for a national mortgage lender and broker. Her experience extends to co-owning an affiliated multi-state title company, further diversifying her expertise in real estate transactions. Nicole's academic credentials are impressive. She holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law, a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and concentration certificates in Estate Planning and Business Law.
Her educational journey began with a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Maryland, where she laid the foundation for her legal career. This extensive education equips her with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate complex legal issues effectively. Admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the Supreme Court of Florida, Nicole's qualifications extend beyond traditional law practice. She is a licensed Maryland Title Insurance Producer and a Notary Public for the State of Maryland. Additionally, she holds a Pennsylvania Non-Resident Title Agent license. This lets the attorney serve clients across state lines.
