About Nicole
Nicole Kamm is a seasoned employment law attorney based in Encino, California — Since 2006, she has been practicing law in California. This gives clients with extensive legal expertise in employment matters. Nicole earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law in the same year. Prior to that, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2000. This strong educational foundation gave her the skills necessary to navigate complex legal issues in the employment sector. Her practice primarily focuses on representing business owners and employers in various employment-related matters — These include wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.
Nicole has substantial experience handling cases before key regulatory agencies such as the Department of Labor, the Employment Development Department (EDD), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). This breadth of experience allows her to effectively advocate for her clients in both litigation and administrative proceedings. In addition to her litigation work, Nicole regularly advises employers on preventive measures to minimize potential legal exposure. Her guidance covers critical topics such as wage and hour compliance, independent contractor classification, and mass layoff strategies. By focusing on proactive legal strategies, she helps businesses mitigate risks and maintain compliance with ever-evolving employment laws.
This preventive approach is vital in today’s complex legal field, where missteps can lead to costly disputes. Beyond her legal practice, Nicole is actively engaged in the local business and legal community. She co-founded Women to Women (W2W), a networking group designed for dynamic and innovative female professionals. Her leadership extends to the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, where she has served on the Board of Trustees and held the position of Chair of its Employment Law Section. Nicole’s contributions to the legal field have not gone unnoticed; in 2023, the Los Angeles Business Journal recognized her as "a Leader of Influence: Thriving in Their Forties." Nicole is a member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of California, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
