About Nicole Blank
Nicole Blank Becker earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 2000 after completing undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in 1996. She moved into public-service work early in her legal career, drawn to courtroom work and case handling rather than transactional practice. Those first years set the tone for a career rooted in trial experience and courtroom procedure.
She began prosecutorial work in Wayne County in 2002. That role placed her behind the lectern in arraignments and trials, asking questions of witnesses and making decisions about charges. In 2005 she joined the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. Those posts gave her repeated, hands-on exposure to the mechanics of criminal cases and to navigating Michigan’s trial courts.
After time on the prosecution side, she shifted toward private practice and founded Blank Law, PC. As the firm’s founding lawyer, she drew on years in county prosecutors’ offices to advise and represent clients in criminal matters. Her background in prosecution informs how she prepares for trial, evaluates evidence and structures defenses.
Her professional affiliations reflect that focus. She has been a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan since 2020. She joined the Criminal Defense Lawyers of Michigan Association and The National Trial Lawyers Criminal Trial Lawyers Association in 2020 as well. In 2021 she became a member of Lawyers of Distinction. These memberships align with a practice centered on court work and criminal litigation.
Becker’s day-to-day practice is courtroom-oriented. She conducts hearings, motions practice and bench and jury trials in Michigan courts. Her experience as a former assistant prosecutor contributes to case assessment and trial strategy. At Blank Law, PC she represents clients facing criminal charges and handles matters that require trial experience and an understanding of state court procedures.
She maintains an active presence in Michigan’s legal community and continues to handle criminal cases at the trial level. Her current practice focuses on criminal defense in Michigan courts.
