About Nicolas A.
Nicolas A. Apfelbaum built his legal foundation at the University of Florida, where he earned a Juris Doctor in 2009 after completing a Bachelor of Science in 2006. His earlier studies included an associate degree in business administration from St. Petersburg College, earned in 2004. Those classroom years set the stage for a practice shaped by both business training and formal legal education.
After law school, Apfelbaum entered private practice. He began as an associate at McClane Partners in 2009. That early work gave him exposure to firm-side litigation and transactional matters. In 2012 he worked as an associate at Greenspoon Marder, where he continued to develop courtroom and client-facing skills. Those positions provided experience in larger firm settings and offered opportunities to work on a range of civil matters.
Beyond firm assignments, Apfelbaum has been active in a number of professional and community groups. He has served as president of the Port St. Lucie Bar Association since 2013 and holds membership in the St. Lucie County Bar Association and the Martin County Bar Association. His civic engagement includes a seat on the board of the Jewish Federation of the Treasure Coast, a role he has held since 2015, and participation on the Leadership Alumni Council of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce Foundation since 2014. He has also been involved with the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce and, earlier, with the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County.
Apfelbaum’s involvement extends beyond local groups. He took part in the Florida Bar’s International Law Section as vice-chair of the International Litigation and Arbitration Conference in 2011–2012. He was a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida and engaged in pro bono and youth programs through the Orange County Bar Association’s Teen Court initiative. In 2014 he participated in the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Emerging Leadership Project as part of its Leadership Class.
Today he practices at Apfelbaum Law in Florida. He is admitted to the Florida bar and maintains ties to the legal and civic institutions of the Treasure Coast and surrounding counties. His work reflects a mix of litigation experience, community leadership, and involvement in professional organizations.
He currently practices at Apfelbaum Law, focusing his work on matters arising in Florida.
