About Nickolas C.

Nickolas C. Ekonomides earned his J.D. from the University of Akron in 1993. He joined the Florida Bar the following year and has maintained active membership since 1994. His educational background set the stage for a career that moved between state and federal practice.

Early in his career Ekonomides established a private practice. In 1995 he practiced under Ekonomides & Associates, P.A., a firm that handled a range of matters in Florida courts. Seven years later he restructured his practice and began operating as Nickolas C. Ekonomides, P.A., the office he maintains today. That trajectory reflects a steady shift from an early small-firm model toward a practice organized under his own firm name.

Ekonomides is admitted to practice in Florida, and he is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. His admissions extend to the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials have allowed him to operate across different levels of the U.S. judicial system. He has filed pleadings and appeared in courts that require federal admission when cases move beyond state jurisdiction.

Colleagues describe Ekonomides as pragmatic in court settings. He approaches cases with a lawyer’s attention to procedure and the practical steps that move a matter forward. In motion practice and court appearances he tends to favor direct argument and careful briefing. His background in both state and federal matters gives him a view of how procedural choices made early in a case can affect outcomes down the line.

Outside the courtroom Ekonomides has managed the administrative and business tasks typical of running a small law firm. He has overseen case intake, client communications, and the filing systems that support litigation and transactional work. That combination of client work and firm management has shaped the day-to-day priorities of his practice.

He remains an active member of The Florida Bar and continues to accept matters through Nickolas C. Ekonomides, P.A. He currently practices from that firm and represents clients in matters brought in Florida state courts and in federal venues such as the Middle District of Florida and, where appropriate, forums that require U.S. Supreme Court admission.
