About Nicholas
Nicholas Traylor earned his law degree at Baylor Law School after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Baylor University. His academic path kept him in Waco for both undergraduate and legal studies, where he built a foundation in legal research and courtroom procedure.
Early in his career he served as a law clerk in 2010 for the Honorable Bonnie Crane Hellums of the 247th Judicial District Court in Harris County. That clerkship placed him inside the trial court environment and offered regular exposure to evidentiary hearings, written orders and the daily mechanics of family court dockets.
After clerking, Traylor moved into private practice. He worked as an associate at The Law Office of Jacqueline Taylor beginning in 2014. Two years later he joined Walters Gilbreath, PLLC as an associate. In 2018 he took an associate role at Laura Dale & Associates, P.C., where he continues to work. Those positions gave him steady experience handling contested matters, client counseling and courtroom appearances.
He is licensed to practice in Texas and maintains memberships in several local and state bar groups. He belongs to the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section and participates in the Houston Bar Association Family Law Section. He is also a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association. Those affiliations keep him connected to peers and to continuing legal education relevant to family law practice.
Colleagues describe Traylor as a lawyer who prefers practical solutions and prepares carefully for hearings. His background—Baylor law training, a district-court clerkship and successive associate roles—has produced a working familiarity with procedural rules, temporary orders and negotiation in family disputes. He routinely handles matters that require both written advocacy and in-person court work.
Today he practices at Laura Dale & Associates, P.C., representing clients in family law matters in Texas courts. His current practice centers on family law and related proceedings.
