About Nicholas
Nicholas Spetsas graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2013 after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Flagler College the same year. He moved quickly from classroom to courthouse and courtroom. The dual degrees set the stage for a practice shaped by both research and client work.
Early in his career Spetsas served as a law clerk in 2016 for the South Carolina Office of the Lawyer General. That role put him inside the workings of government legal practice and sharpened his writing and analytical skills. Later in 2016 he joined Eraclides, Gelman, Hall, Indek, Goodman, Waters & Traverso as an associate attorney. He took on a mix of responsibilities that included drafting pleadings and supporting trial preparation.
In 2018 Spetsas moved to Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. as an associate lawyer. He continued to build litigation experience and handled matters that required attention to procedural detail and client communication. By 2020 he was at Wilson Elser, a larger firm environment where he worked on matters involving multiple parties and complex timelines. Those positions exposed him to different firm structures and a range of case management practices.
In 2022 Spetsas launched his own practice, founding Spetsas Buist PLLC. As founder and lawyer he established the firm’s day-to-day operations and assumed primary responsibility for client intake and case strategy. The change reflected a shift from working inside established firms to running a smaller, attorney-led office.
Spetsas is admitted to practice in Florida and has handled matters before state tribunals and in administrative contexts. His background includes time in a government law office and several private firms, which together contributed to a steady development of courtroom readiness, legal research, and client counseling skills. He has navigated deadlines, discovery projects, and trial preparation across different practice environments.
Today he operates Spetsas Buist PLLC and represents clients in matters arising in Florida. His current practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses in Florida state matters.
