About Nicholas
Nicholas Peluso built his legal foundation in the Midwest. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa and later took his law degree at DePaul College of Law, where he also completed a Certificate in Criminal Law. Those years shaped the legal habits he still relies on: careful preparation and direct advocacy.
After law school, Peluso entered practice in Illinois. He is admitted to the Illinois bar and has spent his career working on criminal matters. The DePaul certificate informed his understanding of criminal procedure and evidence, and he carried those lessons into client meetings and courtroom settings.
Peluso’s practice emphasizes casework that touches on the full life cycle of a criminal matter. He handles initial investigations, advises clients on charging decisions, prepares pretrial motions and negotiates resolutions when appropriate. He also litigates when cases proceed to trial. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he focuses on the factual record and the procedural levers available in each case.
