About Nicholas
Nicholas Moschella earned his law degree from New York Law School in 2007 after completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Seton Hall University in 2004. He began his legal career immediately after law school, taking a clerkship on the Ocean County Superior Court under The Hon. James N. Citta, J.S.C. That early exposure to trial court procedure informed his next steps and helped shape a practice grounded in litigation and courtroom work.
After the clerkship he moved into private practice as an associate. He spent time at the Law Office of Howard S. Teitelbaum, LLC., first in 2008 and again in 2016, and held associate positions at Starkey, Kelley, Bauer, Kenneally & Cunningham in 2010 and at the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall in 2012. In 2011 he served as a municipal prosecutor with the firm Citta, Holzapfel & Zabarsky, handling lower-court matters on behalf of municipalities. Those roles gave him repeated stints in calendar call, plea negotiations, and courtroom hearings.
In 2017 he opened his own practice, operating as the Law Office of Nicholas A. Moschella, Jr., LLC. As owner, he manages a small office and handles both civil and criminal matters. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and is authorized to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, reflecting a practice that has extended beyond state trial courts.
Moschella is a certified mediator through the Superior Court of New Jersey and holds an Alcotest 7110 Operator certification from Draeger Safety. Those credentials indicate work that crosses litigation and alternative dispute resolution, together with technical experience relevant to DUI and related matters. He has maintained membership in the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Ocean County Bar Association since 2007, remaining involved in local and statewide professional circles.
Colleagues describe a practitioner who is comfortable in court and accustomed to managing the responsibilities of a solo practice. His background includes trial-level experience, municipal prosecution, and repeated roles as an associate in small and mid-size firms. That mix informs how he evaluates cases, structures pleadings, and prepares for hearings.
Today he heads his own firm in New Jersey, where he continues to take on courtroom matters and mediation. His current practice focuses on state-court litigation, municipal matters, and dispute resolution.
