About Nicholas J.
Nicholas J. Rose earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 2003. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His academic path prepared him for courtroom work and the procedural demands of federal practice. The mix of a large public university and a law school on Long Island gave him a broad base in both theory and practice.
After law school he entered private practice and built a solo firm. He is admitted to practice in New York and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Those federal admissions allow him to handle cases that cross the state-federal boundary and to appear before judges in two of the nation’s busiest trial dockets.
He heads the Law Offices of Nicholas Rose, PLLC. The firm operates as a small practice oriented toward litigation in New York. Running a one-person or small-team office means he handles many different tasks: client counseling, case strategy, filing and discovery, and courtroom appearances. That variety can sharpen litigation instincts and requires attention to procedural detail.
Outside of the office he maintains active membership in professional organizations that emphasize trial work. He belongs to the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. Those memberships keep him connected to peers who practice before state and federal courts and provide access to continuing legal education and trial-related resources.
Colleagues and clients describe his approach as practical and courtroom-minded. He prepares cases for trial and for dispositive motions alike. He balances written advocacy with oral argument, and he pays attention to the mechanics of federal practice when cases involve the Southern or Eastern Districts of New York. In a small practice, those dual tracks — motion and trial — are often handled by the same attorney from start to finish.
His public profile is straightforward. He operates his own firm in New York and participates in organizations that focus on trial advocacy and civil practice. He currently concentrates his practice on litigation in New York state and federal courts.
