About Nicholas C.

Nicholas C. Lansdown earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 2016. He completed his legal studies at a time when the San Francisco legal community was busy and competitive. His law school years culminated in the degree he uses every day in practice.

He opened Lansdown Law in 2016 and has operated the firm since then. He founded the practice soon after finishing law school and took on the twin roles of lawyer and firm owner. Running a small practice has required him to handle both client work and the business side of a law office.

Lansdown is admitted to practice in California. His work centers on matters that arise under California law, where he advises clients, prepares filings, and represents them when issues escalate. He handles the practical tasks a solo practitioner faces: client intake, legal research, motion practice and negotiation. The nature of those tasks changes from case to case, and he adapts his workflow accordingly.

Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who prefers clear explanations and practical steps. He tends to break complex legal problems into concrete options. That approach shapes how he prepares filings and how he presents cases. It also governs client conversations about risks, costs and potential timelines.

Running his own firm means Lansdown has overseen matters at every stage of a case. He prepares pleadings, manages discovery, consults with experts when needed, and handles settlement discussions. He also takes responsibility for administrative tasks that a larger firm would typically assign to staff.

Outside of the office, Lansdown has maintained a local professional presence since 2016. He manages the practice from his Lansdown Law office and continues to accept new matters consistent with the firm’s capacity. He keeps his legal skills current by following developments in California law and court practice.

He currently practices at Lansdown Law, representing clients in matters arising under California law.
