About Neil
Neil Pedersen is the principal of Pedersen Law, APC, a law firm located in Westminster, California. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since January 4, 1989. The firm focuses on employment law, representing clients in various employment-related disputes, including wrongful termination and workplace discrimination. Mr. Pedersen's experience in this field allows him to provide effective legal representation to his clients. In 1988, Mr. Pedersen earned his Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude as co-valedictorian.
During his time at law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, showcasing his dedication to legal scholarship. Prior to this achievement, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Law from Western State University in 1986. This solid educational foundation gave him the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate complex legal issues in employment law. Throughout his career, Mr. Pedersen has held several significant positions that highlight his expertise in legal and corporate matters. From 1998 to 1999, he served as Vice-President of Human Resources and General Counsel at QuantumLink Corporation in Torrance, California. Before that, he was Vice-President of Corporate Policy and General Counsel at the same company in 1998.
Between 1994 and 1998, he was Principal at Pedersen & Black, a Professional Law Corporation in Newport Beach, California. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Associate Attorney at Ford & Pedersen in Los Angeles from 1990 to 1994 and as an Associate Attorney at Walker, Kendrick & Jackson in Newport Beach from 1987 to 1990. Mr. Pedersen's contributions to the legal community have not gone unnoticed. In 2016, he was named Attorney of the Year by the State Bar Solo and Small Firm Section. He has also been inducted into the Western State College of Law Alumni Hall of Fame, recognizing his achievements and influence in the field. Additionally, he has earned the title of Southern California Super Lawyer and received the Client’s Choice Award from AVVO.com, further solidifying his reputation as a leading attorney in his area of practice.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Pedersen is committed to education and community service. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Western State College of Law, teaching courses in Law Practice Management and Technology, as well as Employment Law. His involvement with the Orange County Bar Association includes serving on the executive committee of the Solo and Small Firm Section and acting as a fee arbitrator and mediator with the Mandatory Fee Arbitration Committee. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Pedersen is married to his wife, Janelle, and they have three sons, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He enjoys watching high school and college sports and loves to travel, reflecting his commitment to family and community engagement.
