About Nasir
Nasir Khan built a path that crosses the humanities and the law. He began at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a B.S. in Classical Civilizations and Political Science in 2006. The broad undergraduate curriculum left him comfortable with complex texts and public institutions. He went on to study law at American University Washington College of Law and received his J.D. in 2010, having taken coursework in international law and human rights law.
Those academic choices shaped how he approaches a case. The study of political systems and ancient texts sharpened his analytical instincts. The international and human rights coursework gave him a vocabulary for comparing statutory systems and for spotting issues that cross borders. He applies that training when assessing facts and choosing strategies.
After law school he moved into private practice and within a few years started his own firm. In 2013 he founded The Khan Law Office, Inc. and serves as its lead lawyer. Running a small firm has meant wearing many hats: counselor, litigator, administrator and the point of contact for clients. He has overseen casework and the day-to-day operation of the office since its founding.
Peers and clients describe him as pragmatic. He tends to favor clear explanations over legalese. Court filings and client letters reflect that approach, as do initial consultations where he breaks complex legal questions into plain terms. His prior study of international and human rights law informs how he frames issues that touch on cross-border elements or on rights-based claims, even when the matters are rooted in state law.
Khan’s practice is centered in California. He handles matters through his firm and maintains an office presence that supports local clients. He adapts to the procedural demands of state courts and to administrative processes when cases require them. His work often involves advising individuals and small organizations on the immediate legal choices they face.
He keeps a practical calendar, balancing client work with managing the firm. That arrangement allows him to accept cases that match the firm’s capacity and to provide steady attention to each matter. He currently practices at The Khan Law Office, Inc., handling legal matters in California.
