About Narendra K

Narendra K Ghosh trained first as an engineer and then as a lawyer. He earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University in 1994 and took his law degree from New York University School of Law in 2002. That academic path combined technical training and legal study, a combination that shaped the early steps of his career.

After law school, Ghosh pursued federal clerkships that exposed him to a range of civil and administrative questions. He served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2005. The following year he clerked for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Those two years of clerking provided front-row experience in written opinion drafting and courtroom procedure.

In 2007 Ghosh worked as an associate at Patterson Harkavy LLP. There he handled matters that drew on his courtroom experience and his prior clerkships. The associate role came after nearly a decade of academic and practical preparation and was one of his early positions in private practice.

Ghosh is admitted to practice in North Carolina. His professional affiliations include membership in the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee and participation in the Employment Law Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. Those associations reflect recurring themes in his work and his engagement with lawyer networks that focus on labor and employment issues.

Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He tends to emphasize careful record review and precise legal writing. Those habits trace back to his clerkships, where written opinions and bench memoranda set a tone for attention to detail. His technical undergraduate training also informs how he frames evidence and presents complex factual records.

Over the years Ghosh has combined public-sector experience and private-practice work. He has moved between research, drafting, and client-facing responsibilities. That mix gives him perspective on how cases develop from initial intake through litigation stages.

He maintains an active practice in North Carolina and participates in professional groups focused on employment and labor matters. His current practice centers on employment law and related labor issues in North Carolina.
