About Narek

Narek Avetisyan trained as a lawyer in California. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2016, where he concentrated in business law and tax law. Before that he completed a Bachelor of Arts in political science at California State University, Fresno in 2013. Those academic choices set a clear path toward the kinds of transactional and regulatory work he would later pursue.

His hands-on legal experience began while he was still in law school. In 2015 he worked as a transactional and litigation law clerk at Cable Gallagher, gaining early exposure to drafting, research and client communications. The following year he served as a construction litigation law clerk at Colderbank Law, a role that put him on cases involving contracts, disputes over construction projects and the practical realities of managing contested claims.

After graduation he shifted into public sector work. In 2017 he took a position as a code enforcement law clerk in the City Lawyer’s Office for the City of Fresno. That year also marked his first roles identified as a lawyer in private practice, including work at Black Tie Law Corporation. The combination of municipal experience and private practice provided a mix of regulatory and client-centered work. He saw both how government enforces local codes and how businesses respond.

By 2018 he was listed as a lawyer at Legalatory, Inc. His prior clerkships and litigation work inform his approach there. He draws on training in business and tax law when advising clients on contracts and corporate matters. He also brings practical courtroom and dispute-resolution experience from construction litigation and other contested matters. Colleagues and clients report that he communicates complex statutory and contractual issues in straightforward terms.

Avetisyan is licensed to practice in California and has built a practice that blends transactional drafting, regulatory counseling and litigation support. He balances contract work and tax-related questions with hands-on responses to code enforcement and construction disputes. He currently practices at Legalatory, Inc., where he handles business, tax, transactional, and litigation matters in California.
