About Nannette B.
Nannette B. Dean has built a steady legal career that moves from scholarship to courtroom. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy with a minor in biology from Boston University in 1990, then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1995. Her education combined analytical training with an eye for practical problem solving.
After law school Dean entered private practice. Her early years included a position as an associate at Kemp, Schaeffer, Rowe & Lardiere beginning in 1996. She later joined Judith M. McInturff Co., LPA as an associate in 2003. Those roles offered repeated contact with both state and federal matters and helped shape the litigation and client-service approach she uses today. In 2012 she became president of Dean Law Co., LLC, the firm that bears her name.
Dean is admitted to practice in Ohio and holds admission to the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio. That standing has allowed her to appear in both state and federal forums. Over the years she has balanced courtroom work with client counseling, handling matters that require attention to procedure as much as to substantive law.
Community and professional involvement have been a steady part of Dean’s practice. She is a member of the Columbus Bar Association and the Delaware County Bar Association. Outside the bar, she has played an active role in the Credit Education Coalition, serving as past president and now as treasurer. She has also chaired the coalition’s CARE Committee. Those roles involve education, outreach and organizational oversight rather than courtroom advocacy alone, and they have created opportunities to address consumer education and policy issues in the community.
Colleagues say Dean brings a practical approach to resolving disputes and advising clients. She blends litigation experience from earlier associate work with the responsibilities of running a small firm. Her practice includes appearing in state and federal courts, managing client relationships and participating in community education efforts linked to credit and consumer matters.
As of 2026 she leads Dean Law Co., LLC and continues to handle matters in Ohio state and federal courts while maintaining active involvement in legal and community organizations. Her current practice focuses on litigation, client counseling, and community-oriented credit education work.
