About Nandakumar

Nandakumar Palissery studied engineering before he studied law. He earned a B.A. in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, and later took up law at Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he completed a J.D. in 1994 and concentrated on criminal defense work while in school. Those two strands — technical training and courtroom practice — show up in how he approaches cases: methodical, evidence-focused and attentive to detail.

He began practicing in Pennsylvania after law school and built a career in criminal defense. Over the years he has represented clients in a range of matters that typically bring people into the criminal-justice system. He has moved between courtroom hearings and client interviews, often handling both the trial work and the pretrial strategy. His academic background in engineering informs how he evaluates complex factual records and technical evidence.

Palissery is an active member of local and statewide bar groups. He holds membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also part of the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association, which connects him to the local bench and bar and to continuing legal education in that region. Those affiliations frame much of his professional calendar, from CLE courses to local bar events.

Throughout his career he has worked on matters that require attention to procedure as much as to facts. He has handled contested evidentiary issues, negotiated plea matters and conducted bench and jury trials. His practice has required regular interaction with forensic reports, expert testimony and case law that shapes criminal procedure in Pennsylvania. He prefers to prepare cases in a way that anticipates the next step — whether that is a motion, a suppression hearing or trial testimony.

Palissery now practices at PALISSERY HINRICHS. The firm listing identifies him there and it serves as his current office affiliation. He continues to combine case preparation, courtroom advocacy and client counseling in his daily work. He also maintains ties to the criminal defense community through association activity and local bar involvement.

He is currently at PALISSERY HINRICHS, where his practice centers on criminal defense in Pennsylvania.
