About Myles

Myles Alderman studied economics and psychology at Kenyon College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1982. He spent a year at Cambridge University pursuing postgraduate work in economics, then returned to the United States for law school. He graduated cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 1986 and served as a managing editor of the law review while there.

After law school he established his practice in Connecticut. Over the years he has been involved in matters that touch on commercial and insolvency law. His background in economics has informed his approach to disputes involving businesses and creditors. He combines legal training with economic reasoning when assessing complex financial cases.

Alderman maintains memberships in the Connecticut State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Commercial Law League, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Turnaround Association. Those affiliations reflect an ongoing engagement with developments in bankruptcy, commercial litigation, and business restructuring. He attends conferences and participates in professional networks that address creditor-debtor law, workouts, and related commercial issues.

He practices from Alderman & Alderman, LLC in Connecticut. His work includes representing creditors and debtors, advising on restructurings, and handling litigation tied to commercial transactions and insolvency. He also counsels clients on the intersection of finance and law, drawing on his postgraduate economics training when evaluating transactions. He remains active in bar and industry groups and continues to handle matters across the commercial and bankruptcy spectrum.

His current practice centers on commercial law, bankruptcy, and corporate restructuring matters in Connecticut.
