About Ms. Terri A.
Ms. Terri A. Hiles earned a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University in 1993 and a Juris Doctor from Widener University in 1997. Her academic path began in the late 1980s and continued through the 1990s, culminating in a law degree that set the stage for a career in New Jersey law. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
Hiles built her practice in New Jersey after law school. Over the years she has worked across multiple office locations for Petro Cohen, P.C., appearing for clients out of Cape May, Cherry Hill and the Trenton area. Her work has involved litigation and administrative advocacy at the state level. She maintains memberships in the Atlantic County Bar Association and in The Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. New Jersey Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court, affiliations that reflect ongoing professional engagement in the state’s legal community.
Colleagues describe Hiles as steady in the courtroom and deliberate in preparation. She has handled matters that require navigating New Jersey’s administrative procedures and has represented clients in hearings and conferences before state agencies. Her association with the Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court indicates an interest in the rules and practice that govern workplace injury claims, and she has spent time developing practical courtroom and hearing-room skills relevant to those cases.
Hiles’s practice at Petro Cohen, P.C. places her in communities along the Jersey Shore and in the greater South Jersey region. That geography informs the kinds of matters she sees. Clients include individuals and small businesses facing disputes that are typically resolved through hearings, settlement negotiations or administrative determinations. She balances casework across several offices, traveling as needed between Cape May, Cherry Hill and the Trenton area to meet clients and attend proceedings.
Outside of direct client work, Hiles participates in bar activities and Inn of Court programs aimed at maintaining professional standards and improving practice skills. She attends meetings and programs in Atlantic County and elsewhere in New Jersey, and she engages in peer discussions on procedural developments and case law affecting administrative practice.
She currently practices at Petro Cohen, P.C., concentrating on workers’ compensation and related administrative matters in New Jersey.
