About Ms. Krystal M.
Ms. Krystal M. Ahart earned her law degree from Arizona Summit Law School in 2012 after completing undergraduate studies in business and information systems at DeVry University–Phoenix. She moved into bankruptcy work early in her career and has remained in that area since law school.
Her first years in practice included time at the Bankruptcy Legal Center and the Law Office of James F. Kahn, P.C., where she worked as an associate lawyer. There she handled motions, prepared filings and appeared in proceedings on behalf of debtors and creditors. Those roles exposed her to the procedural demands of bankruptcy court and to the varied financial situations clients bring to those matters.
Ahart’s background combines technical training and legal preparation. Her undergraduate coursework covered business systems and information analysis. Her legal education emphasized the federal and state rules that govern insolvency proceedings. That combination has informed how she approaches case preparation and client counseling.
Outside of firm responsibilities, she volunteers with a local Volunteer Lawyers Program. In that capacity she provides brief advice and limited-scope representation to individuals who may not otherwise obtain legal help. The volunteer work keeps her connected to community-level concerns and the practical problems people face when managing debt, employment issues and housing challenges.
She now practices at Kahn & Ahart, PLLC. Her work continues to center on bankruptcy matters, including chapter filings and related litigation. Colleagues describe her as steady in court and attentive to documents, and clients tend to seek her help when they need practical explanations of complex statutory requirements.
Ahart maintains an uncomplicated approach to cases. She builds a record, prepares schedules and motions, and guides clients through each stage of the bankruptcy timeline. Her day-to-day practice involves negotiations with creditors, drafting plans and handling confirmation hearings when required.
Her professional path has stayed close to one subject area: insolvency and its ripple effects on households and small businesses. She carries that experience into her practice at Kahn & Ahart, PLLC, where she represents clients in bankruptcy proceedings and related matters.
Her current practice focuses on bankruptcy proceedings and related consumer credit matters.
