About Ms. Jamie V
Ms. Jamie V Simons earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in 2000 and followed that with a J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2004, where she studied family law. Her academic path combined an early interest in education with specialized legal training in domestic relations.
She began her legal career in 2007 at the Law Offices of Terrance A. Jones as an associate lawyer. The next year she moved to Lasky Law Office, continuing in associate roles and building courtroom and client experience. In 2010 she joined Simons & Simons, P.A. as a partner. The shift to partnership marked a transition to firm leadership and a broader role in managing cases and mentoring younger lawyers.
Ms. Simons is licensed to practice in Florida and has remained engaged in the local bar community. She has been a member of the Florida Bar Association since 2007. She joined the Jacksonville Bar Association in 2009 and the Jacksonville Women’s Lawyers Association in 2010, both of which she maintains membership in. Earlier in her career she belonged to the Clay County Bar Association from 2007 to 2008.
Her background in family law dates to law school. That early emphasis has been reflected in the trajectory of her work ever since. Over the years she has handled matters that typically arise in family court, combining courtroom appearances with negotiation and client counseling. The pattern of practice shows steady involvement in cases that require familiarity with Florida family law procedures and local court practices.
Colleagues describe her as a routine presence in the Jacksonville legal community, attending association meetings and participating in bar activities. She has also taken on responsibilities at her firm that go beyond individual cases, including oversight of case strategy and collaborating with other attorneys on complex matters. Her prior experience at smaller offices shaped a practical approach to casework and client contact.
She now practices family law at Simons & Simons, P.A., handling matters related to domestic relations and family court proceedings.
