About Mr. Shawn P.
Mr. Shawn P. Eyestone has practiced law in Michigan courts and federal court for more than two decades. He began his legal career in 2001 working in various large and mid-sized law offices throughout the state. Those early years gave him exposure to a broad range of matters and the rhythms of courtroom practice in Michigan.
After nearly a decade of that experience, he opened his own firm in 2010. He established Eyestone Law Offices, PLC, and shifted from being one of many attorneys in larger shops to running his own practice. Building a firm required learning both the substantive side of the law and the practical demands of managing client work, staffing and case flow.
Eyestone is admitted to practice in Michigan and before the 6th Circuit. He appears in state courtrooms as well as in matters that advance to the federal appellate level. He has handled litigation that moves between trial settings and appellate review, and he is familiar with the procedural differences those settings impose.
The firm operates multiple regional offices under the Eyestone Law Offices name. Those locations serve clients across different parts of the state and allow the firm to meet in person when cases or client needs call for it. Within the firm he has balanced client-facing work with the administrative duties of running an office, and he remains involved in case development, briefs and courtroom preparation.
