About Mr Luis Amadeus
Mr Luis Amadeus Vallejo built his legal foundation at the University of Texas at Austin. He completed a Bachelor of Journalism in Communication in 1971, returned for a Master of Public Affairs in Government in 1975, and earned his Juris Doctor in 1977. Those years in Austin shaped both his legal thinking and his interest in public service.
He moved quickly into public-sector work after law school. In 1980 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Harris County District Lawyer’s office. A few years later, in 1983, he took a role as an Assistant Lawyer General in the Texas Lawyer General’s office. Those early roles placed him on the front lines of government litigation and courtroom practice at both the county and state levels.
Vallejo is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That certification marks a formal recognition of qualifications in that area of law and signals sustained practice and testing in criminal matters. It also ties back to his years handling prosecutions and governmental legal work in the 1980s.
Observers who have tracked his career note a steady through-line: work that intersects law, government and the courtroom. His academic background in communication and public affairs informed his approach to litigation and case management. He combined those perspectives while performing duties that required drafting legal opinions, preparing cases for trial, and addressing public-law issues for state and local offices.
Few modern legal careers follow only one path. Vallejo’s experience in county and state offices gave him a broad view of how criminal statutes are applied and how public-law decisions are made. He has carried that foundation into later practice, applying procedural knowledge and courtroom experience to the matters he handles. His current practice focuses on criminal law.
