About Mr. Lloyd N
Lloyd N Martin has practiced law in Maine for more than three decades. He built his foundation at Dartmouth College, where he earned a B.A. in History in 1978, and then completed a J.D. at the University of Maine School of Law in 1983. Those years set the stage for a steady career in Maine’s legal community.
He joined Isaacson & Raymond in 1988 and worked there early in his professional life. The role exposed him to firm-based practice and the rhythms of courtroom work in state courts. In 1996 he moved to Laskoff & Associates, where he continued to handle matters that brought him into contact with judges and opposing counsel across the state.
Over time Martin’s practice broadened. He has been an active member of the Maine State Bar Association since 1987 and joined the Androscoggin County Bar Association in 1988. Those memberships have kept him connected to developments in Maine law and to fellow lawyers in the region.
In 2012 he began practicing at Martin Law. That period marks his most recent firm affiliation and reflects a long-term presence in private practice. He is admitted to practice in Maine and also in the United States District Court for Maine, and his work has involved both state and federal proceedings.
Colleagues describe him as steady in court and thorough in preparation. He has handled a range of matters over the years, navigating casework through different stages of litigation and practice management. His career shows a pattern of long tenures and continuing involvement in the local bar community.
Outside the courtroom he has remained tied to the institutions that shaped his legal training. He has kept ties to the University of Maine School of Law alumni network and to peers at Dartmouth. That network has been a resource for referrals and professional conversation.
As of 2026 he practices at Martin Law, where he represents clients in Maine state courts and in the U.S. District Court for Maine.
