About Mr. Kenneth Lee
Mr. Kenneth Lee LaBore built a legal career around elder law and nursing home neglect cases. He began his academic path at the University of Saint Thomas, earning a B.S. in Business Finance in 1987. He continued at William Mitchell College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1989. Those credentials led to admission to practice in Minnesota and the Eighth Circuit.
LaBore spent the early years of his career in and around county bar associations and trial-focused plaintiff groups. He has been a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association and the Ramsey County Bar Association since the mid-1990s, and joined the Minnesota Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice in 1994 and 2002 respectively. He has presented at continuing legal education programs and served on CLE committees, roles that kept him engaged with changes in elder-care law and long-term care litigation.
In 2003 he listed his role as Lawyer and Owner at Guardian Legal Services, LLC, taking on cases that centered on care standards and resident rights. Five years later he became a partner at Pearson Randall Schumacher & LaBore, PA. That partnership expanded his trial and appellate exposure while keeping elder law at the center of his practice. The record shows steady involvement in litigation and advocacy related to long-term care and vulnerable adults.
LaBore’s work in elder law is reflected in a long string of professional programs and committee appointments. He has been active in the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and served on its governing council beginning in 2008. He has spoken at Minnesota CLE sessions on the basics of elder law and senior housing, and has taken part in Elder Law Institute programs covering a range of topics from elder justice and public policy to the particulars of admitting someone to long-term care. He has also been identified as co-chairperson of the Vulnerable Adults Sub-Committee within the state bar association and appeared on local CLE panels discussing case law effects in elder-care matters.
People who have followed his career note that LaBore has consistently handled matters involving nursing home neglect, long-term care planning, and vulnerable adult protection. He practices in Minnesota and accepts matters that may involve the Eighth Circuit. He currently maintains a practice addressing nursing home neglect and related elder-law issues.
