About Mr. Karl Joseph

Mr. Karl Joseph Wulff earned his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1993 after completing a bachelor’s degree in management at Webster University in 1991. He moved from the Midwest classroom to the courtroom with a clear focus on the law and on client service. His education provided a foundation in both business and legal practice that has shaped his work ever since.

He began his professional legal career in the late 1990s. In 1998 he joined Katz & Wulff, P.C. as a lawyer. He has been associated with that firm for the bulk of his career, working through the day-to-day demands of practice and the steady pace of bankruptcy work. Colleagues and clients have relied on him for steady representation in matters that require attention to deadlines and procedural detail.

Mr. Wulff is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois. He holds memberships in several professional organizations that reflect his area of practice. He has been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association since 1998. Since 2003 he has belonged to the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers and the Bankruptcy Association of Southern Illinois. He has also been active in the Madison County Bar Association from 2011 to the present. Those memberships have kept him connected to regional practice developments and to peers who handle similar matters.

His practice centers on consumer bankruptcy and related legal issues. The long association with national and local bankruptcy organizations signals sustained engagement with consumer insolvency matters and the procedural rules that govern them. His work involves preparing filings, advising debtors on options under Chapters 7 and 13, and addressing the motions and hearings that arise in those cases.

In court he represents individuals navigating personal financial distress. He handles the paperwork that begins a bankruptcy case and the contested matters that follow. That work requires familiarity with federal bankruptcy procedure, local court rules, creditor claims, and the practical steps debtors must take to seek relief and meet their obligations.

He continues to practice at Katz & Wulff, P.C., where his caseload remains concentrated on consumer bankruptcy and related matters.
