About Mr. Jeff D.
Mr. Jeff D. Anderson earned his law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2002 after completing a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Georgia in 2000. He entered the profession armed with a traditional legal education and an interest in state law practice. Those formative years gave him the technical grounding he would draw on throughout his career.
He built his early practice in Georgia. In 2008 he joined Lister & Holt, LLC as a senior lawyer. That role placed him in a position of increased responsibility, where he handled a heavier caseload and helped guide the firm’s legal work on matters arising under Georgia law. Colleagues from that period recall a practical approach to casework and steady case management during busy dockets.
In 2012 he moved to solo practice and became the owner of Jeff D. Anderson, Lawyer at Law. Running his own firm shifted the balance of his work. He took on both client-facing duties and the administrative tasks of operating a small practice. The change also gave him latitude to shape the services he offered to clients across the state.
Throughout his career he has practiced in Georgia, appearing in state venues and advising on matters tied to state statutes and local procedure. His background — from law school through private practice — has emphasized the everyday mechanics of representing clients in state courts and tribunals. He draws on years of courtroom experience and transactional work when preparing cases and counseling clients.
Today he maintains a small law office in Georgia, serving clients through a mix of representation and legal advice. He handles a range of matters that arise under state law and provides direct counsel to individuals and organizations that seek guidance on legal issues in Georgia. He continues to practice law in Georgia and manage the operations of his firm.
